This is very different from the rest of my work. I did not take this picture. It was taken by Paul Salva, my father's best friend and that is my father jumping the crevasse on Mt Begbie our most famous Revelstoke mountain) in 1948. I had originally thrown this image in the garbage and my sister had retrieved it (I don't know what she was doing rifling through the garbage). She said I should try selling it. It is my best seller. I love the image because, as per his usual style, Dad was not wearing any safety gear, just normal winter boots and it is not clear if he will make it to the other side. He made it.
